This Policy (together with any other documents we refer to) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.
Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.
What personal information might we collect about you?
You may give us your name, contact details such as email address and telephone number. If you make a booking with us we will collect data necessary for our booking records, including name of all guests (and age of those under 21s), your address, telephone number(s), email address(es) and any preferences you express with regard to your booking.
Information obtained from someone making a booking on your behalf. If you give us data on behalf of another person, you warrant to us that you are authorised by that person to give their personal data and that information is accurate and correct. If any non-compliance by you with respect to this provision results in any loss or damage being incurred by us, you may be required to compensate us in respect of such loss.
Information about you obtained from third party sources. These third party sources may include but are not limited to Listing Agencies, we currently use Vrbo to market our holiday cottage but may use other agencies in the future.
If you agree to it via the pop-up Cookies Acknowledgement button, we use cookies to collect statistics about how you use our website, for example which webpages you visited and for how long. None of the cookies set by the website jeopardise your privacy in any way and no personal data is collected.
We will only process your personal data, in accordance with legal requirements, for the following purposes:
(a) responding to your requests, queries, comments and complaints;
(b) managing and administering our holiday letting business;
(c) processing your bookings and cancellations;
(d) communication with you about local events, programs, offers or promotions including newsletters. Please note that we do not sell or rent our lists to anyone. You will be asked to subscribe to newsletters and can unsubscribe at any time by email to info@albastrosscornwall.com
(e) display content on our websites and apps, such as stories, product reviews, comments and photos provided by you;
(f) enabling our suppliers and service providers to carry out certain functions on our behalf, including the hosting of our websites, apps and booking platforms. We employ a cleaning agency to maintain our cottage in between bookings and will need to provide them with non identifiable information to carry out this function.
(g) to comply with applicable law, for example, in response to a request from a court or regulatory body, where such request is made in accordance with the law. We also record information to comply with financial reporting requirements, including those imposed by auditors, HMRC and government regulators.
How do we store your data?
Your data as described above is held in a secure, password protected email account, Excel spreadsheet or similar.
Who has access to your data?
Your data is only accessible by the owners of Albatross, 46 Coventry Road, Flushing.
We do not share your data with anyone else other than set out in this policy, required by law, or to protect our own interests or legal rights (for example to submit an insurance claim or legal challenge in regarding your booking).
How long do we store your data for?
Your personal data will be retained for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes listed above or as required by law. Please contact us for further details of applicable retention periods.

You may request that we rectify any inaccurate and/or complete any incomplete personal data.
You may request that we erase your Personal Data and we will comply, unless there is a lawful reason for not doing so. For example, there may be an overriding legitimate ground for keeping your Personal Data, such as, a legal obligation that we have to comply with, or if retention is necessary for us to comply with our legal obligations.
